Question:
I LOVE raw spinach way more than I like it cooked. I was wondering if there is anyway I can dress up a dish with rice so that if I’m having company it won’t look like a mess.

  1. A.Ingredients

    60ml (2 ounces) tomato sauce
    Olive Oil
    Salt
    Pepper
    2 cups rice
    1kg (2 lb) raw spinach
    2 medium onions

    Directions

    1. Chop onions and saute in a sauce pan with olive oil.
    2. Slice spinach, add to the frying pan and saute until spinach is soft.
    3. Add 2 cups of water in the sauce pan and turn the heat up till water boils.
    4. When water boils, turn the heat to low and add the rice and tomato sauce.
    5. Cook covered, over a low heat, until the rice is done and the water is absorbed. (Approximately 15 minutes)

    B.1 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
    1/4 c. nutritional yeast
    1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 lb. grated cheese (Cheddar, Jack, Swiss)
    4 c. cooked brown rice
    10 oz. chopped spinach, steamed
    1/2 to 1 c. seeds and nuts

Blend liquids. Stir in remaining ingredients except seeds and nuts. Pour into oiled casserole. Top with seeds and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.

  2. just cook the rice, put it in the middle of the plate and on the side have a salad made of only raw spinach
and then with the rice add just a slpash of soy sauce
