Hi there! I commend you on wanting to eat raw for health reasons. Cooked food and processed foods are very addicting. You somewhat have to gradually let it go. Some people can go cold turkey, but most people can’t do that.
2 Great books that I recommend you check out is The Live Food Factor by Susan Schenck and Becoming Raw by by Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina. Both books are great resources and have recipes too.
Best wishes!

I would say get a hold of David Wolfe’s book ” the sun food diet”.
I make excellent raw vegan sushi.. instead of rice I use hemp seeds! the full recipe is on my website.
please consider everything about the animals before deciding to go pescitarian. did you know we share 80% of our DNA with fish! maybe watch this movie http://www.earthlings.com or read “eating animals” by Jonathan Sarfran Foer

I follow a pescatarian diet, no meat, but I do eat fish and seafood. I am about 80 percent raw food. I would recommend starting out this way. I went totally raw at first, but it was too hard to follow. This way, you can taper off slowly, eating fish, and then if you decide you want to go vegan or totally raw, ease into it. There are some great groups on yahoo, pescatariangourmet, rawschool, livingfoods, etc. that can help you get started. You can also email me if you like. Good luck!
edit: you can also view my recovery blog for info on raw dairy and other tips to get you started. Here is the link

Vegan Planet and The Garden of Vegan are good books. There’s also Vegetarian Times if you are interested in subscribing to a magazine.
The best resources I have found have been PETA’s websites.
