Truly a cake as radiant as its name! This is definitely my favorite Naturally Nora cake. It’s nice to finally be able to enjoy my favorite desserts without having to worry about artificial ingredients. You can really taste the difference between Nora’s cakes and other boxed mixes. These cakes are delicious!

I do all of my own baking, and am usually disappointed by most box cake mixes.
I can spot them right away — a weird metallic flavor.
But Naturally’ Nora’s is in a class of its own. I doubt I’d have guessed it was a mix!
Not too sweet with a great flavor and texture, it mixed up easily and baked perfectly.

Naturally Nora cake mix tastes like homemade and looks homemade too. Tasting homemade is a good thing, but looking homemade isn’t if you are baking to impress or for a special occasion.
The yellow cake mix tastes like grandma used to make, but does not rise well. The cake I made was lopsided and didn’t rise well. (I used one springform pan). The cake was soft, moist and tasted great, if not a bit heavy, but honestly, I can make that kind of cake from scratch. There’s really nothing to it. And since you have to add 3 eggs, some oil and milk to the mix, you are only a few ingredients short of making a cake from scratch anyway.
You have to add a stick of melted butter to the frosting mix, which makes it a butter cream frosting. This kind of frosting stiffens when it cools and won’t be too fancy looking either. It tastes fine; nothing special about the frosting consistently or taste.
Overall, for the price, these mixes aren’t worth it to me. With all the ingredients you are adding to the mix, you’d might as well pull out your cookbook and make one from scratch!

I swear by Naturally Nora stuff. It’s all I will buy now. I just think it’s so important that when you can’t make it from scratch a convenience product should be safe to eat for you can RECOGNIZE the ingredients. I wonder all the time when I see these words that look that they should be in a science lab what there REAL purpose is and is it necessary?

This isn’t a horrible cake mix, but it is not sweet enough to even be called a cake. It is bland and dense.
On the upside, there aren’t any PHOs or artifical ingredients.
