Question:
So, anyone want to share their recipes that use tofu? I have a thing of it in the fridge(I don’t think it is the firm or extra firm) and I don’t know what to do with it.

  3. If it’s the soft or silken type I like to use it in place of mayo. You can add any herbs or seasonings to it and mix it to mix with tuna fish or use as a aoli.

  4. Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups Soya bean seeds
    1 tablespoon Epsom salts ( magnesium sulphate)
    Method
    1.

    Soak the beans in water for at least 12 hours.
    2.

    Drain all the water and wash the soaked beans.
    3.

    Grind the soaked beans in a blender to a smooth paste using 4 cups of water.
    4.

    Strain to extract the milk.
    5.

    Boil this milk, add the Epsom salts and remove from the flame.
    6.

    Strain the soya bean curd through a muslin cloth placed on a strainer.
    7.

    Press the bean curd and put some weight on it so that all the water is drained out.
    8.

    Remove the weight after a few hours.
    9.

    To store for a longer period, refrigerate in a container filled with water.
    10.

    Use a srequired.
