Question:
I realize that Christmas presents should be personal but my boyfriend is impossible to buy for. Additionally, he got me an incredible amount of gifts last year for Christmas and I don’t want to show up nearly empty handed like last year. (We had just started dating.)

Some facts about him:

Likes:
Vegan – He won’t want “another” cookbook, anything wool or cashmere, leather wallets, belts, shoes, etc.
Zombies – I got him a zombie action figure last year for his birthday. I don’t want to give him repeat gifts so this is off the list for him.
Spicy food – I already got him a huge bottle of Hot Sauce.
Video Games – He plays on my WoW account because he doesn’t want to start his up again- otherwise he is going to grad school and won’t have much time. Along with the zombie thing, I was going to get him Left 4 Dead but he says he doesn’t like “first person shooters” on console (360). The only thing is that I don’t want to get him a game where he wont be spending time with ME, which is why I would prefer co-op gaming (360 game). This is an option.
Books: I got him 2 already.

Other than that he hates everything, literally.

Gifts I have explored with him (tactfully) and reasons:
- Ties: He’ll be going to graduate school next year, will be a TA and he needs nicer clothing. When we spoke about “gifting” he mentioned no nice shirts, ties, socks, anything professional is a no.
- Concert tickets: No bands he likes are going on tour. Still a “no” because he needs to know if it will fit into his schedule before anything is finalized.

Other than that I have absolutely no idea what to get him. It is not so much an issue of him feeling upset about not receiving as many presents, but more about my pride and feeling horrible about not getting him as much as he got me.

Thank you so much for your help in advance!
Gift card is a maybe but it seems thoughtless, haha.

Also- price limit is about $400-500.
Has the zombie survival guide, has zombie board games…
