Question:
I have been wanting to convert to being vegan for awhile now.
I switched to soy milk a year ago and also stopped eating chicken and pork. I don’t want to drastically cut out everything but rather do one thing at a time slowly. I no longer wish to contribute to the pointless killing of animal life and I want to be as healthy as I can.
I don’t have a problem giving up meat, just the thought of it in my mouth is enough to make me sick. The only thing I am having a real problem with is cheese since I love it so much and my family puts it on everything pretty much. Does anyone know of any good tasting dairy free cheese. My boyfriend does not share the same views as me on this and would never give up meat..etc. When we move in together I’m afraid it’s gonna make this hard for me. Also any tips on how to convert, easy recipes and more info would be helpful.
Thank you in advance.^^
Cows that do not produce enough milk are often killed after only one lactation. Other cows may be killed if they are not easy to handle, become ill or have calving problems.

By the time she is just five years old, she is worn out by the strain of constant production and is slaughtered as a ‘spent’ or ‘cast’ dairy cow. She may be so run- down and emaciated that her back and hip bones protrude. A cow’s natural lifespan could be as much as 25 years.

Question:
I want to make a raw recipe from a cooked food recipe which requires 1 Cup of sugar. How much lucuma powder or agave syrup should I use.
I am looking at vegan recipes which contain sugar, and I don’t want to use sugar. I know that a lot of people are using agave syrup, but I don’t know how to convert sugar amounts to agave syrup amounts — I mean, how does the sweetness compare (I understand about reducing the liquid). I am also interested in lucuma powder (seems to be the new agave), and how to convert recipes using agave syrup to lucuma powder.
