Question:
This is mostly for people who are vegan, but feel free to give input if you’re vegetarian. I’m asking this question because I am considering becoming vegan, but I have noticed a lot of people seem to hate people who are vegan. For me, the mere mention of *thinking* about it sparked some nasty reactions from people, even my close friend who I don’t even know if I can talk to anymore after they were so mean to me (I’m not just being sensitive, they were actually mean and said some hurtful things). While this isn’t something that would stop me from becoming vegan (I would be doing it for my own health and personal issues with animal cruelty) it still worries me.

So anyway, for any vegans or vegetarians out there, how have people reacted to you? Has anyone seemed to have a problem with it, or get argumentative, or have people been supportive of your decision?

All answers welcome, and thanks in advance :)
