www.vibrantvegan.com Kirsten and I are feeling pretty smart. We do aerobic exercise everyday and… In an article published in the 2008 British Journal of Sports Medicine, researchers, Erickson and Kramer found that 6 months of moderate intensity aerobics produced significant improvements in cognitive function. And, they also found that it increased gray matter. What to do something really smart? Combine aerobic exercise with an artery friendly raw vegan diet and you will dramatically improve your brain function and mental cognition. Be Vegan, Be Vibrant!
So, my advice for anyone out there considering a low fat raw vegan diet–EXPECT TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE, FARMERS’ MARKET, LOCAL PRODUCE MARKET, or wherever you purchase your produce, AT LEAST EVERY 2-3 DAYS. Or you’ll find yourself, like we did, starving and eating things that won’t make you feel too great–like nuts and dried fruit, or other high fat and “prepared” raw foods (or worse, those cooked foods you were trying to avoid).

Yeah, it is day 75 of our 100-Day Raw Food & Fitness Journey! We are very excited to have made it three-quarters of the way through our journey. On the first day of this experiment 100 days seemed so far off. 75 days zipped by and we are looking forward to the last 25. Eating this low-fat raw vegan diet is so easy for us now. I think we will just keep eating this way after the 100 days.
