Question:
Okay so I am sick craving some food! I just need to find some affordable substitutions for the following:
Potato salad-substitute for mayonaise
Oatmeal cookies
Some kind of sandwich not just filled with veggies and fruit or sprouts
Nachos!!!!-
Pretzels-this is more of a question if they are made vegan or are they unfriendly
Please help!!!
Its not like I’ll eat animalia products, but I do miss the flavors. I don’t think I can even go back to eating cheese out of disgust, so I need substitutes! It doesn’t have to be exactly the same.
Francesca my answers vegan buddy, I hope you read this question and answer.
This is my half year anniversary as a vegan and im still working out the kinks.

Question:
I have 2 friends coming on Saturday.
They are really good friends & invited them for a dinner.
My plan was to cook a roast lamb with all the trimmings as i know they are hearty eaters and have always enjoyed their food.
When i told my friend this she said No we can’t eat that, we are vegans now.
I said i would sort something out.
I have no clue about vegan cooking and i don’t know the difference between vegetarian and vegan.
However i looked in the stores at the vegan section and i noticed how very expensive even basic vegan food costs.
Can anybody please help or give me ideas.
It doesn’t have to be a meal but def would like to lay some nibbles down at the very least, i mentioned to cook a cake but was told, it mustn’t have any eggs.
I am not the best cook so have decided maybe will go and look in a specialised vegan store but i suspect everything will be so expensive, a small dip alone costs around $6.
So any ideas would be welcome
Thanks

Question:
In real life….I’m the only vegan or vegetarian that I currently know. We seem to be such a small minority, esp in Texas. I’ve only been vegan for nine months. Everyone is supportive so I’m thankful. I just feel kinda alone in this lifestyle. Ha except when I visit the vegan restaurants with my omni fiance. Do you have many veg friends O_o? I just think it’ll be nice to also have veg*n friends.

Question:
My best friend, a current pescetarian and aspiring vegan, has very non-supportive family members. I’ve been friends with her at school for a few years, but have only known her family for the past few months.
Evidently, her parents think I am a “bad influence” and that if she tries to become vegan, her parents will not let her see me any more. Since when is eating healthfully a bad influence? I’m not trying to sell her drugs or something. In my opinion, my eating habits should not be a factor in deciding whether or not we should be friends. If I ate only fast food would this still be a deciding factor in whether or not she could be friends with me?
Even my family, all omnivorous, have a problem with this and think it is quite outrageous.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? I’ve never run into something like this before. Until now, I thought her family was very kind and understanding; I’ve made vegan meals at their house a few times and they liked it (or at least said they did). Any ideas with how to speak to her parents about this, or if I even should?

Question:
Why or why not?
