Question:
I am 18 weeks pregnant and a vegan. I take a prenatal vitamin every day but of course I make sure I eat very healthy. I usually have avocado spread on mutli-grain toast and a glass of fortified soymilk for breakfast and some fruit. For lunch and dinner I make sure to get lots of protein and veggies. I always have a light salad along with dinner.
What were some things you ate during your vegan pregnancy?
**Just FYI, anyone who tells me my diet is not healthy, my baby is going to die, blah blah, you are wrong. I know lots of vegans who have had succesful pregnancies and my OB is 100% supportive of me. I have also seen a nutritionist.
Question:
I’m 17 and I’ve been vegan since I was 12. I’m 17 weeks pregnant now. I know a vegan diet is perfectly fine during pregnancy and my OB/GYN is a vegetarian (I had no idea when I started seeing her) and is totally supportive of me being vegan.
Was anyone else a pregnant vegan teen? Or does anyone know someone who was?
I’m just wondering
Zoer — are you blind? I addressed what you said in my question.
This is a delicious and unique flavored vegan soup that has origins in North Africa and the Northeast African Highlands section. It is a bit more trouble than my favorite “dump it all in one pot and cook”, soups, but well worth it!
