Question:
doesn’t provide you with vegan accepted products?
Ex. A teenager who relies on their parents to provide food and clothing wants to be vegan and tries to live a vegan-lifestyle as much as is possible. Unfortunately, the parents are uncooperative and do not regularly use vegan approved foods nor vegan approved clothing. To survive, the teenager, having no other resources, has to wear the clothes and eat the food regardless of their vegan lifestyle wishes.
Can this teenager accurately call themselves vegan on the basis of doing “as much as possible” to adhere to a vegan lifestyle?
candy raver—are you implying for family eats humans?
“‘I try to be vegan but its really hard when you live with cannibals’”
oopps…your family, not, for family.
wayfar—yeah that was me you’re referring to and it’s me you’re misquoting. Go back and read it again. If it was my question, it said NOTHING of fossilized anything.
M & M—that IS kinda funny. I was just about to explain to the answerer before that I wasn’t talking about myself when I read your answer.
Some good answers so far though!
M & M–it’s also funny to see someone who is unfamiliar with my reputation. I half expect every answer I get to be somebody telling me off for some reason or another…LOL
trace—-it’s strange that your answer fits the general idea of the answers I’ve gotten “along the way” but you get thumbs down. The answers to this question (cumulatively) tell me that there is more than 1 answer to the question that can be considered accurate. I think your thumbs down are still because you and I exchange greetings and all….LOL….that’s kinda immature if it’s true.
krister—-good answer. One of your better ones. Your good ones seem to be the ones where you don’t seem angry.
bunny—there is even MORE to being a vegan than what you mention.
Question:
I have been a vegetarian for almost three years now and i’m just realizing all the animal product still in the things I use daily. I’m only 14 and my mom and sister aren’t vegetarian so I don’t know how to go about this and try to convince my mom to buy soy milk, butter, etc. I’m doing research on makeup and bath stuff that isn’t expensive but vegan. I can’t find much does anyone know any? Drugstore makeup usually contains calamine (I think that’s crushed bugs) which disgusts me. I personally use Burt’s bees but even that has bees wax….which doesn’t bother me as much because no one actually dies and there products are considered natural. I’m horrified at the fact my every day lotion was consider a 9 out of ten risk and when tested on animals caused severe disabilities…think about prolong use on my own body. I just need suggestions and I understand not everyone thinks this way. I know all my friends besides one eats meat and could care less, I would rather do what I cn to help this earth.
