Question:
So for my new years resolution this year I want to become a vegan. I was just wondering if some of these things that I use in my every day life are “vegan friendly”. So here is a list of things that I use everyday, could you tell me which are and aren’t vegan friendly.

-Nikes
-Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal
-American Apparel clothing
-Chinese food
-Hair Straightener
-Tooth Brush and Paste
-Mouth Wash
-Pizza
-Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwhiches
-Orange Juice
-Water
-Dr. Pepper
-Cranberry Juice
-Doritos
-Popcorn

That’s all that I can think of that I use/eat/drink everyday. If you could just tell me which are “vegan friendly”? That would be muchly appreciated.

Question:
I know that if you are vegan you probably take a good care about what you eat and that you do not wear any leather.
But I have a few questions.

Are you sure that you do not have any silk clothing? (Silk is produced by animals)
Is your tattoo vegan? (a black tattoo ink is made from charcoal which is made from burnt bones) I know there is a vegan ink, just asking if your tattoo is made with one cause I know many vegans have tattoos with their life motto etc and dunno if all of them know what is the ink made from.

None of the product you use includes glycerol? (It is widely used in cosmetics, including makeup, toothpaste, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, soap, water based personal lubricants and cough syrups) Because glycerol (known also as glycerine) is a by-product of biodiesel production (via the transesterification of vegetable oils and ANIMAL fats).

Glycerol is also used in compost which is then used as a fertilizer for plants which you consequently eat. I mean you can eat veggies which you grow and you know that you have not used fertilizer on them but those that you buy in shops…Do not you think that fertilizer is used on all veggies nowadays?

Do not your car use bio diesel? (Why? Mentioned above)
To Bornagain: This is a good article if you want to know more about vegan tattooing :)

Question:
I want to be vegan, but I’m 14, and my mom obviously pays for things. Is there some kind of website that shows you which stores have certain vegan things. Like I need to find a store near me that sells vegan cheese, egg replacers, vegan margarine, etc. Mostly I’m having a hard time finding the dairy-type products that are vegan. It needs to be somewhere near me like Food Lion, Publix, Wal Mart, Ingles, etc. Please help.
Question:
The punk band NOFX has released some anti religious right songs over the years. Which one of these lyrics do you prefer?

Song: You’re Wrong.
You’re wrong about virtues of Christianity
And you’re wrong if you agree with Sean Hannity
If you think that pride is about nationality, you’re wrong

You’re wrong when you imprison people turning tricks
And you’re wrong about trickle down economics
If you think that punk rock doesn’t mix with politics, you’re wrong

You’re wrong for hating queers and eating steers
If you kill for the thrill of the hunt
You’re wrong ’bout wearing fur and not hating Ann Coulter
Cause she’s a cunted ****

You’re wrong if you celebrate Columbus Day
And You’re wrong if you think there will be a Judgement Day
If you’re a charter member of the NRA, you’re wrong

You’re wrong if you support capital punishment
And you’re wrong if you don’t question your government
If you think her reproductive rights are inconsequent, you’re wrong

You’re wrong fighting Jihad, your blind faith in God
Your religions are all flawed,
You’re wrong about drug use, when its not abuse
I hope you never reproduce

You’re getting high on the downlow
A victim of Cointelpro
You’re wrong and will probably never know

Song: Leaving Jesusland.

We call the heartland not very smart land, IQ’s are very low but threat levels are high
They got a mandate, they don’t want man-dates, they got so many hates and people to despise

In the dust bowl, cerebral black hole, the average weight is well over 200 pounds
I hate to generalize, but have you seen the thighs, most haven’t seen their genitalia in a while

Maybe that’s why they’re so scared of us
We’ve concerns other than fear and hunger pangs

Queers, transgends, and lesbians, vegan kids and vegetarians
All you brownish red and yellow ones come and join us on the coast

No longer svelte, they gotta punch new holes in the Bible belt
They’ve blown out the fire under the melting pot, the red blood of America is starting to clot
No compromise, no sight through others’ eyes, they’re just flies spreading pieces of ****
You gotta emigrate, stop living in hate, what makes this country great is dwelling on either side

They don’t want visitors in Jesusland
They want life canned and bland in the fatherland

We want people with college degrees, drug use experience and STD’s
People with open-minded philosophies, come hug California trees
Cultural revolution now, neo-conservatives run outta town
We’re gonna burn Orange County down,
And then we’re off to Riverside, Bakersfield and Fresno too, then we’re coming after you

The fear stricken, born again Christian, they got a vision a homogenized state
Textbook decline, Intelligent Design
They got Bill Nye on the list to execrate.

They don’t want visitors in Jesusland
They want life canned and bland in the fatherland

Punk Rockers and emo kids, people doing things the church forbids
Buddhists, agnostics, and atheists we’re moving out of jesusland
Art students and thespians, excluding country, all the musicians
We want all hookers and comedians, nihilists are welcome too

No longer svelte, they gotta punch new holes in the Bible belt
======================================…
The last one was refering to the jesusland map, google image it if you don’t know it, it is all the republican states after the 2004 election in one country called “jesusland” and the blue states and canada as a country called “United States of Canada”.
