Question:
Suppose that this person adopted a vegetarian/vegan diet for reasons such as personal health or environmental impact, yet had absolutely no problems going on a hunting or fishing trip or wearing wool or leather clothes or using animal-tested products.
Would this person still be accepted in an active vegetarian/vegan community?
Would this person be treated any differently by other vegetarians/vegans, or even omnivores for that matter?
Question:
I am a 16 year old girl, and i am vegan. I have been a vegetarian ever sense i was 4 (When i learned that i was eating meet, which horrified me) and for the past year i have been vegan. My family has never been supportive of me being vegetarian or vegan, and my friends haven’t either.
For example, i can’t go get ice cream on a date with a guy, or have pizza with friends. If you had a friend like me, what would you think? Would you think that she is weird?
Question:
I am very supportive of animals rights causes, I donate as much money as I can to animal rights organisations every year. But there is something that irks about the other members and it’s the fact that most of them (even if they don’t say it out right) seem to believe that all animals evolved on a vegan diet. Some of the other members feed their cats and dogs tofu and soy milk, because they swear they are naturally vegetarians. I am never going to feed my dogs soy or tofu or anything else like that. I try my best to feed them what their close relatives, the wolf would eat in the wild.
What about sharks? Are sharks vegetarians? Should we be dropping tonnes of tofu into the ocean so they can be on a vegan diet? Or what about lions and tigers? Should we go out into the fields of Africa and leave tofu blocks for them to eat? It’s just ridiculous to say that all animals, or that even any carnivore evolved as a vegetarian.
Question:
No one is vegan and it pisses me off. There are no meals at resturants that are vegan and i have to shop at fucking health stores to buy bread.
