Is Kelp powder used in Vegan recipes for nutritional reasons or taste?

Question:
I came across a Vegan Mock Tuna Salad recipe and it contains Kelp Powder. Kelp Powder is very difficult to find. I was wondering if it is necessary in the recipe to make it taste right or if it is used for nutritional purposes only. BTW, does anyone know where to purchase Kelp Powder because I usually find anything and everything at Whole Foods Market but not Kelp Powder.

If you’ve used Coastal Scents makeup would you recommend it?

Question:
My little sister adores playing with my makeup, and I’d like to get her own palette for her and was thinking of getting the one with 88 colors that Coastal Scent sells. She’s been using my Urban Decay shadows from their vegan line, but I don’t want to shell out all the money for them just for her to play around with. Are the Coastal Scents eyeshadow palettes of decent quality? Do they use animal by-products in their makeup? (A lot of makeup lines do) I want to make sure I’m giving her something that won’t cause any irritation. She’s 8.

looking for a recipe for sucanat (raw sugar) to be used as plant food.?

Question:
i read recently that flowering plants make better smelling flowers and better tasting fruit if the gardener uses a carbohydrate synthesizer during flowering/fruiting. apparently sucanat works for this, but i don’t know how much per gallon of water to use. my plants are in soil (not hydroponic) and i’ve raised them organically up until now…

Question:
I was sewing tonight and I thought about it and I got kind of freaked out. Do they use animal byproducts to color thread or clothing? Or what do the industries use these days?
