Question:
I am vegan and currently live in Wisconsin, and I’m planning on moving to Canada when I graduate college. I don’t really know much about the food industry in Canada, and I was wondering, is it anywhere near as vegan friendly as America is?

Living in America I feel I have NO problem in terms of groceries, and there’s a pretty good selection of vegan restaurants/stores in the city I live in..
I specifically want to move to Montreal.

Can anyone tell me about how vegan-friendly Canada (Montreal) is in terms of shopping and eating out?

Question:
I was just wondering, because as a vegetarian who would like to eventually go vegan, I’ve noticed that even though most parts of the US are now becoming friendlier to lacto-ovo-vegetarians, it’s still pretty common to find places with stores and restaurants that offer few (if any) good options to vegans. I would like to know where the vegans here live and how challenging they find their surroundings to be.
Question:
I’m moving to New York (thinking east village) and I want to be in walking distance of lots of great vegan/vegetarian cafes and restaurants. I may move uptown to save money but I’m thinking I’ll miss out on a lot of these places if i’m way up in the 100′s. Can any experienced New York vegans help me out?
Question:
Ones that have all vegan ingredients, don’t test on animals, etc..
thankyou(:
Question:
Hi, I’m new to veganism and am aware that refined sugar (since it is filtered with bone char) is NOT vegan friendly. However, I commonly avoid food products containing “sugar” as an ingredient as I don’t know whether the sugar used is refined. Is the industry (foodstuffs and condiments) standard to use refined?

Thanks in advance!

– Steve
