Question:
I’m a vegetarian who really wants to go vegan, but I live with my parents still (I’m 13) and they would practically disown me if I told them I was going to do so. They had several tantrums when I went vegetarian, but I am NEVER eating meat again. I’d rather die. I love animals so much and am really sensitive in that area. I really want to devote my life to the planet. I feel so guilty when I eat eggs and milk and any animal products and I don’t enjoy them at all. I’m not sure if my makeup is vegan (CoastalScents? probably not? Erase Paste concealer?) and I feel like a bloody murderer when wearing black leather shoes (my uniforms at school call for black dress shoes and I need some sort of vegan dress shoe that’s polishable and black!)

Any vegans out there that know the tricks of the trade and have dealt with a similar situation? How should I make my parents see the light? What are some things that I can’t eat? What are some common un-vegan foods that I should watch out for? Are jeans vegan? What makeup do you guys like to use? What else does going vegan mean?
Thank you so much!! I really feel like I’m an idiot until I make the transition into a vegan lifestyle. If you are posting links, please no graphic pictures of animals!!
Thank you!! Lots of love!!

Question:
*Sigh* I am officially getting old. I am starting to see lines around my eyes and I am not thrilled about it. :)

I have never really used much in the way of makeup or skin products, so I don’t know much at all about this stuff.
I don’t know the first thing about wrinkle prevention or fixing products, so I would like to know what you use and why. How effective is it?

Also, are preventative or wrinkle fixing products scams?

Thanks to all. :)

Question:
I know leather, wool, and silk. I’ve heard that faux fur is actually dog fur and vegans also avoid that, is that true?
What other materials do vegans avoid? Which ones are okay?
If it’s just a choice, then I’m choosing to avoid animal clothing. :)
Really? That’s great:) Most of my shoes say “faux fur” in them, and I was so disappointed because I couldn’t find one pair of shoes I own that are vegan.
