2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
2 cups chilled whipping cream

Topping
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
6 ounces bittersweet (not unsweetened) or semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

We are mostly vegan. I like the idea of a slow cooker as I have almost no time to cook. How easy is it to adapt recipes to be vegan/veggie for the slow cooker? Do you have any recipe book and/or cooker recommendations – $40 max.

Many soy products are made to mimic the texture and flavor of real meat. They seem to sell well in the stores so I assume many Veggies and Vegans are buying them. Does this mean that they really wish they were eating a meaty burger/taco/or whatever the product of choice is? And if so, is that not hypocritical and self deprivation?
