Question:
Do you know of any good websites that give good meal ideas or what foods to buy? I’m trying to figure out what I should buy at the grocery store so I get all the nutrients i need.
Question:
I am trying to be a vegan, but because of where I live it is really hard. I live on Mackinac Island in Michigan, we have no cars, and the only way to and from the island is a 30 dollar boat ride or a 50 dollar plane ride. there are no vegan friendly stores on the island, there are actually only two small grocery stores. My mom owns one, and she says she cannot get those special foods, or even free range eggs and chicken because it costs to much and over here, especially in the winter people are barely surviving on their unemployment checks. What should I do? It is to expensive to go shopping on the main land all of the time, and I live alone so I cannot really buy things in bulk without it spoiling. What should I do?? I really want to be a vegan!!
And just to let you know, in the winter especially we have a very small range of fresh fruits and veggies, so that also makes it hard. The biggest sellers at theses stores are frozen dinners and such, and almost all have animal products in it.
Question:
what are some healthy vegan foods I should buy from the store?
ive been vegetarian for two years, so burgers would be a bad choice.
Question:
I’ve been a strict vegetarian for three years and just turned vegan in December. Months prior to that, the only thing I ate from an animal was honey.

The reason I don’t like being around some “moral” vegans, vegetarians, is due to the immense differences we have. I dislike the fact that many vegs I’ve encountered tend to “show off” their veg*ism and attack others for not being what they are. That and their hypocrisy as well as their naivete.

I dislike veg*s who eat things that taste and look exactly like the “real” thing; tofu chicken fingers. By doing so, you’re stating that you actually miss the taste of animals, which isn’t right if you’re a veg for moral reasons. I’m not saying I wouldn’t eat tofu, I do in fact, but adding dozens of ingredients to your vegeburger just so it can taste like the “real deal” is just asinine.

I dislike how most think it’s merely a diet when in fact it’s a lifestyle. I’m not the strictest vegan in the world, but I try to be if and when I can. Everything I own is vegan, soaps, toothpastes, shampoos, shoes, clothes etc. And owning pure vegan things when you’re a vegan yourself seems extremely rare from what I encounter, even though it’s not expensive nor difficult.

I might come off as one of those stereotypical “peta vegans” but that’s not what I am. I’m pretty much against any person (vegan or not) that will break the law just to make a point,.

Sincerely,

The Continental Communist.
I stated or, gave an example of what I owned to show that I’m quite strict about my vegan-ism. What I meant about “showing off” is certain vegans who wear shirts that say “Hey, look at me, I’m a vegan!” or put certain bumper stickers on their cars stating the same, or even introducing themselves as “Hello, I’m __, and I’m a veg.”
Also, I agree that having a complete “dislike” for someone is quite harsh, so let me rephrase. I dislike the lifestyle and dietary habits of most vegans I have encountered. I would still befriend a vegan who had a different lifestyle and ate differently than me, it would wrong not to just because of that.
I have no problem with vegetarians or vegans as a person, but if you call yourself a veg* and boast about yourself and your diet, while taking out a leather wallet to pay for a meal. I would have some dislike for you.

Question:
I went to PETA.com just now, and it changed my life. Before the video i saw, i thought animals were humanely killled and i just had a fake reality on life. i cried so much, i really want to become vegan so can you help me

1) Tofu..where to find it and is it good???
2) Milk…are there substitutes for milk
3) eggs…substitute for them
4) how can i convince my parents to respect my decision.

and just about anything else you know about being a vegan
like food
clothing and etc
also..how to get the protein from the food that i will be giving up and what other things i cant eat:)
Listen Jerry A. F.U.C.K YOU!!!!
i dont need to get advice from your bald ass head, its obvious full of air. Why do ypu care that i go vegan, if i want to i will. I never liked meat in the first place and eating an animal that once roamed ths earth is disgusting. my question is what should i eat, not what you think.

Question:
I just don’t know how to tell my parents! The longer and LONGER I wait to tell them, the more stupid I feel about wanting to be vegan, I and keep backing down when I have to opportunity. What am I supposed to do? I’ve gone a day being vegan, but it’s not like I can continue this in secret. I need soy milk, soy yogurt, ect. I also need more vegetables since we have apple in the house and that’s it. I also need to request that I buy products like tooth paste, deodorant, makeup, and soap that aren’t tested on animals. But I’m going to request the makeup and stuff for my birthday (June 23rd) since I didn’t know what I wanted anyways.
Anyway, how do I bring up this conversation? I wanted to be vegan 2 years ago, but it was really hard so I went vegetarian instead. But now I know I can handle it. I just need to tell my mom, since my dad won’t care. How should I bring up the conversation? Where? When? How should I bring up how I need products not tested on animals?
