Here’s another delicious Vegan recipe for everyone to try. You can substitute pancakes or tortillas depending on your taste. I’ve made this one a few times and it’s an amazing array of flavors.
Moo Shu Vegetables Serves 8

I used broccoli because it’s one of my favorite vegetables, but this curry can be used on top of any vegetable you’d like. It’s Delicious on rice of course as well. This doesn’t take long to make at all either, so get what are you waiting for? Get cooking!

You have a right to be upset that they are not respecting your choices and boundaries, and even being outright deceitful in trying to trick you into eating meat.
The best advice I can give it to keep a close eye on the food while it’s being prepared if you’re not making it (and you should definitely prepare your own food as much as possible) and live your life as a shining example of a healthy, happy vegan. Sometimes people won’t be receptive to your words, so show them how right you are.

Instead of using your energy to get mad, focus on why you are eating the way you are. Does your family have health issues, and are they struggling with allergies, weight, etc?
Set a good example by the way you eat, make is tempting so they will at least try it.
You draw bees to honey. Don’t preach or criticize, just enjoy your meals along with them, they are watching, observing to see if this is for real, or just a fad or faze you are going through. If you are committed, take the necessary steps to ensure your commitment, but don’t get caught in an argument, it is not a win-win for either of you that way.
Just think about it.

All anger is an exaggerated No. Your boundaries are being violated by then try to force you into eating meat via deception. This is most definitely wrong. You need to let them know where your boundaries are and the consequences if violated.
As for someone saying they love animals and eating them being a hypocrite. Well this all depends on the type of love they are espousing. I do believe it is possible to love animals to a degree and still eat them. However I think it is a much deeper love to not eat animals when other options are available. I believe much of the world now has this capability.
Personally I consider veganism a luxury. We have an unprecedented opportunity to show compassion towards animal kind in ways it was not so easy in the past.
As for your family love them, inform them, and continue you lead your life as an example of integrity and virtue. This will be your greatest testimony and in time their eyes may open as well. : )

why is your sister – the vegetarian one – trying to make you eat meat?
Yes, I like my friends, but when they say how much they love they dogs or cats blah bah, I just roll my eyes, because a few moments later they’ll be eating their hamburgers and chicken!

The only thing you have a right to be pissed about is them trying to trick you into eating meat.
A Vegan lifestyle is not an easy thing to pull off when you’re still under the care of your parents. Vegetarian you might be able to do, that just avoids meat. But you’re talking about Vegan, that means no animal products at all. Unless you’re cooking for yourself it’s hard to find recipes that don’t call for eggs or dairy.
As much as you won’t like it, you may have to accept the fact that you can’t go Vegan yet and will have to wait until you’re on your own. Or at least you’ll have to buy and prepare your own food.
Veganism is pretty extreme, make sure it’s really what you want to do. You have to be very careful with that diet. Good luck.

You have the right to be pissed if they mock you and try to make you eat what you don’t want. But you have to understand that the level of urban comfort you have, the technology you enjoy and the possibility of surviving on veggies while living in urban environment, you owe all that to the beefeaters.
A vegan society wouldn’t be able to create resources to support that. Thanks to the meat we added to our diet, we got stronger and were able to produce more with less time required to cover our basic needs.
Do the math. Take a 100% of productive time and discount the time needed to produce the energy required to survive based solely on veggies. The remaining time is the time you have to develop technology to produce more or better and create comfort, leisure time. Now try again adding meat to the equation. The time required to produce the same amount of energy is a lot smaller and there’s more time for progress.
You have the right to eat what you want. Just be aware that if humans would have kept the vegan diet, you would be doing the harvest yourself.

You must have just turned vegan within a year or two. Mostly for me, it was my friends, or co-workers that try to do that to me all the time. I still remember my boss making us this great soup of all of us to eat at lunch, and she told me it was made with no animal products – since it was minestrone! I found the cookbook open on the counter and saw that it was chicken stock based and saw the used chicken stock carton in the garbage can! “Oops, I forgot” was what I got as an answer. I never believed her anymore after that, and never ate any of her stuff anymore. As a vegan for seven years now, I pretty much cook all of my own food and read labels diligently. Yes, you will be mad for awhile and have the right to do so because they are either testing you or showing you a bit of disrespect, but it will blow over, and you will still be vegan and helping animals (and the environment too! with all the latest info coming out on how the dairy and beef industry is wrecking havoc on the planet!). Now, I find that I sometimes make mistakes because I have bought something without thinking about where it comes from, and I get angry at myself for not taking the time to think before I buy! And I find it came from some animal, or a byproduct of the animal industry.

They probably just want you to be healthy, and are worried you’re not getting enough protein or iron. I love animals, but I’m not vegetarian and definately not vegan. No eggs, milk, cheese, cream or anything like that? I would kill myself.
But I do believe in killing the animals (for food of course, not for fun) humanely, at least.

Uh I guess you do, but I mean its their own choice to eat them. They don’t infringe on your right to not eat any animal products.
To each their own.
porsonally, I dont care what they do, I know that I am doing what I feel is right. you can’t bully someone into feeling a certain way about things.
OH WAIT, I misread, I thought it said they were.
you should be mad they try and trick you. maybe you should sit down and tell them that you dont try and force them all to be vegan, they shouldn’t go the other way with it.
