Question:
i mean things like gelatin, carmine, that aren’t exactly meat but are animal by-products. not like milk, eggs, etc. things that would be non-vegetarian. ive been researching that kind of stuff but its hard to find. so if anyone knows of anything, that’d be nice. also some examples of foods with that in it. thanks =]

  1. sorry for not really answering you’re question, but thinking about all the weird animal stuff they put in everyday foods makes me feel sick
    My sister ate a yoghurt yesterday with gelatin in it, eww!

  2. New book: Practical Vegan has a long list of them…
    wine/beer can be non-vegan (depending on how they are filtered),
    Albumin: can be in cookies
    Pepsin: (from pigs) in some vitamins…eewww

  4. L-cysteine- it’s made from duck feathers and it’s in bagels and bread stuffs, also some pasta.

    soups- they have milk powder, egg powder
    Jello
    Jams with gelatin
    puddings with gelatin
    rennet in soups
    sugar made with bone char

    some flour
    some chocolate
    i cannot think of much more right now.
